- Check the references of your moving company. Please check our references.
Check the background of the moving company who will be moving your belongings. Call the Better Business Bureau (512-445-2911) and ask for customer references. - Read client reviews.
- Make sure the company is licensed and registered with the appropriate authorities:
- For in-state moves, contact TXDOT (800-299-1700 or visit them online at http://www.dot.state.tx.us/). Our number is 006255465C.
- For interstate moves, contact USDOT (http://www.dot.gov/ or 202-366-4000). National Van Lines' USDOT number is 76628.
- Ask if the moving company has any complaints filed against them.
- Ask if the moving company hires professional, full-time movers and has a training program.
- Find out if the moving company will give you a price in writing before the move.
