2013 Fall Family Events – Harvest The Fall Fun
Here’s something fun and different to do with the kiddos this fall! Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls is having their Harvest The Fall Fun with hayrides, a train ride, ice cream and horses and goats to pet.
It’s a beautiful drive from Austin, only about an hour and well worth the time. Starting September 28th and going through November 8th, except for Wednesdays, you can have tons of family fun, here’s a list of their daily offerings: Candy Corn Hay Maze for children, Sweet Berry Express Barrel Train, Pick your own Flowers, Stuff Your Own Scarecrow, the Texas Hayfield Maze, Ice Cream, including pumpkin flavor, Jumping Pillows, Picnic tables, pet the horses and goats, see the chickens and lots of space to run and play.
If you come on Saturday or Sunday you will enjoy all of the above plus Face Painting, Horse Rides (in October) and the Pumpkin Grille.
Delicious Offerings Include – Ice Cream in pumpkin, strawberry, vanilla and berry berry which is a strawberry blackberry combination flavor. They use only fruit picked at their farm.
Strawberry Popsicles, of course made from berries picked at the farm last spring.
The Pumpkin Grille will be serving lunch items on the weekends in October. The fare includes Grilled Corn, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, PB and J sandwiches, Drinks and Pumpkin shaped sippy cups.
They now have a Gift Shop right on the farm; with hats, candles, wind chimes, books and lots more. They also offer decorative items such as gourds, squash and pumpkins.
Remember, at the Sweet Berry Farm they have plenty of picnic tables and they don’t allow pets.
They also schedule fall field trips and group outings to the farm. Available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from October 1st through November 8th. But be sure to call or email them, because reservations are required: 830-798-1462 groups@sweetberryfarm.com.
