M&M Super Moving Helps With Two Area Christmas Deliveries
Austin, Texas. Santa comes a little early this year for many deserving children, as M&M Super Moving helps with two area Christmas deliveries. For the past 10 years M&M Super Moving has delivered gifts from Riverbend Church’s Angel Tree benefiting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Travis County.
And again this year we have been blessed to be a part of this joyous initiative! Also this year we are happy to report that we have had the opportunity to deliver toys for the Blue Santa of Austin! Here’s a picture of Blue Santa himself with our trailer.
About CASA – “CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Travis County believes every child who’s been abused or neglected deserves to have a dedicated advocate speaking up for their best interest in court, at school and in our community. To accomplish this, CASA educates and empowers diverse community volunteers who ensure each child’s needs remain a priority in an over-burdened child welfare system. When the state steps in to protect a child’s safety because the people responsible for protecting them have not, a judge appoints a trained CASA volunteer to make independent and informed recommendations and help the judge decide what’s best for the child. ”
About Operation Blue Santa – “Operation Blue Santa is a 501(c)(3) – non-profit, community based corporation, organized by the Austin Police Department, with support from the Texas National Guard, the Austin Fire Department, the Austin Utilities Department and Austin Energy. This charitable outreach began in 1972 when two patrol officers realized that some families on the patrol beat would not have gifts or food for their children at Christmas.”
Merry Christmas Everybody!!!
