If your dreams take you to Church Ministry and Leadership, Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary might be right for you. They offer four degree programs:
MDiv, Master of Divinity – This curriculum offers skills training in theology, biblical studies, ethics, world religion, pastoral care, preaching, Christian education, worship, mission and evangelism. You will graduate with practical experience for leadership in many areas of pastoral care.
MAMP- Master of Arts in Ministry Practice
This degree would prepare you for lay leadership in the church or other service organizations with specific focus of communication, pastoral arts and spiritual maturity. This is a two year degree offering classroom study and practical experience.
MATS – Master of Arts (Theological Studies)
This is a two year program offering preparation for a teaching career or further education. With focus on research and leadership skills, reflection and study; you may pursue a single discipline.
DMin – Doctor of Ministry
This program requires three or more years of pastoral experience and includes a rigorous post-graduate course of study.
Dual Degree Program (MDiv/MSSW)
This is a program for master-level students offering Master of Divinity from Austin Seminary and Master of Science in Social Work through UTA’s School of Social Work.
Certificate in Ministry (CIM)
Designed for church leaders, not wanting a degree, but a theological education. There are seven courses of work included in this certificate program.
Special Student Program – Through Austin Seminary Special Student Program, students may enroll in master’s level classes on a per course basis.
Accreditation – Accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the US and Canada.
Student Housing – With a twelve acre campus they encourage campus living for their students; offering affordable one, two, three or four bedroom apartments to their resident students. If you are married with children or pets there’s a place for you and your family right on campus.
