It’s almost here! Labor Day 2013, the extended weekend that marks the end of summer and the start of football season, no more white shoes and a time to enjoy friends and family at outdoor cookouts and parties. We hope you have a fun and safe Labor Day 2013!
Free Day of Yoga – Labor Day 2013 Opening Festival
Celebrating Yoga in Austin – September 1st visit opening day at Tillery Park from 9am to 12:30pm. Come early and check in at 9am, they will have gift bags for the first 100 people. At 9:30 there’s a kids and family class and from 10:30 to 11:45 there will be concurrent classes for beginners through advanced. Stick around until 12:15 for a drawing for prizes.
Opening Day Food And Drink
The Juice will be selling veggie breakfast tacos, juices and smoothies and Coffee with Irene will be offering espresso, iced drinks and vegan treats.
On Monday, September 2nd, participating studios all over Austin will be offering free classes. You will be able to try yoga for the first time, experience a new style of yoga, check out a new studio or teacher and share yoga with friends and family.

Directions and Parking – “7th street goes over Tillery St. So…if you are coming from I-35 and head east on Cesar Chavez or 5th St., you will have easy access to Tillery St., you simply go north from either of those intersections. If you are further north, you can come south on Airport Blvd., turn right on Oak Springs, then take the first left on Tillery St. We’re at 801 Tillery St.! There’s plenty of parking on either side of the actual entrance to Tillery Street Plant Company and East Austin Succulents. Parking is limited directly in front of the gardening companies.”
