Austin Christmas 2013 – The Nutcracker

Published on December 11th, 2013

There’s still time to get tickets for The Austin Ballet’s Production of The Nutcracker this Christmas! This year marks the 51st annual production of this holiday treat. With new sets and costumes Artistic Director Stephen Mills brings to life this stunning performance. Music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and live accompaniment by the Austin Symphony Orchestra!

Bring the children and start your own family holiday tradition with this year’s performance. “Be with Clara as she receives her gift of the Nutcracker. Feel her sadness when her beautiful gift is broken and revel in the magic as Drosselmeyer handily makes it new again. Then marvel as the tree grows and the toys come to life…”

“The vision that Mills brings to life each year is finally realized with this stunning show. The characters and moments you love are more colorful and enchanting than ever set against fabulously imaginative new backdrops. Be the first to see this decade-long labor of love come to fruition and continue the tradition.”
