Fun Auction for a Great Cause!

Published on February 23rd, 2012

We have the incredible privilege of telling a sweet story and helping wonderful friends in the process.  Supporting our troops is an important endeavor, and we’re giving all of you the opportunity to help us in one such endeavor.

Upon returning this winter from his second tour in the Middle East as a navy reservist, one of our friends and his wife had a great surprise from other friends.  A group of ladies had come together to give this military family a mini-home-makeover.  They completely re-vamped the master bedroom and worked through some other areas of the home as well, to pay tribute to this soldier and his family.  While working through the house, some furniture was lovingly redone, and some has been moved out completely.  This is where all of us come into play.

To continue saying thank you, we’re helping the family sell the items that they decided they could part with.  We thought it would be fun to have a little silent e-auction with these items.  Below are the photos and starting bids for each item.

Sango Concepts 16-pc dish set: dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, mugs (new, box was opened but dishes never used) $40

Dining table with extension leaf and 4 chairs $80

Chest of drawers $20

Entertainment center $50

Bookcase with sliding doors$30

Computer desk $20

Glass curio cabinet with mirrored back, glass shelves and lighting fixture $150

If you’d like to support this family and participate in this auction, please submit bids to hornefamilyauction@gmail.com.  Bids will be accepted through Monday, 2/27/12 @ 5:00pm.  As bids come in, we’ll update the bid price on this blog so be sure to check back frequently and re-bid on these great items that you’d like to add to your home.  On Monday evening, we’ll email the winning bidders.  You will be able to come pay for and pick up these items from our warehouse on Tuesday (8500 Research Blvd, 78758).  We can accept payment for this family by cash or credit card (we can process the payments for buyer’s convenience, then present the family with a thank-you check).
