After the addition of a new clubhouse and cart barn the Morris Williams Golf Course is back in business. So come on out and see the state of the art upgrades to the facilities and to the golf course for yourself! The Morris Williams Course in just one of the fine Austin Public Courses available.
“Named after Morris Williams Jr., one of the best golfers ever developed in Austin. Morris Williams Jr. won every trophy available to him in the Austin Area; from the Texas Junior Championships to the National Air Force Trophy, now named in his honor. He lost his life as a young man during the Korean war in a jet plane crash in Florida. The City of Austin Golf Division is proud to have his name in our history books and on our score cards.”
You will enjoy the rolling terrain and contoured greens created by golf course architect Leon Howard in 1964. At one time the Morris Williams Golf Course was home to the University of Texas golf teams. During those years the coaches were Harvey Penick and George Hannon and the school won 2 NCAA Championships. Well known golf figures Tom Kite and Ben Crenshaw were part of the winning teams!

The Morris Williams Golf Course in closed for maintenance on the second Monday each month excluding holidays and major golf tournaments.

With this program featured at the Morris Williams Course you get unlimited Range Balls, Two free lessons per week (anyday anytime), $13 Course fee which includes a cart, 10% off all pro shop merchandise and equipment and a $2 discount at Joe Balander Short Course. All for $55 per month.
