Since 1938, with 16 animals The Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo had grown into one of Austin’s premier events. This year’s treats include, indoor ProRodeo events, daily concerts, a livestock show, fair and lots more. If you’ve never been, you’re in for a treat, this rodeo is the 5th largest indoor rodeo in the world and even has a big screen for instant replay!
Every year Rodeo Austin hosts the regular season ProRodeo. These exciting events include, Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing, Bull Riding and Rodeo Clowns.

Some interesting facts about the rodeo…
In 2010 Rodeo Austin and Organics by Gosh sent an estimated 120,000 pounds of livestock waste to be converted into all natural fertilizer and was distributed to Austin area businesses.
Also in 2010 Rodeo Austin teamed up with Allied Waste to recycle all plastics, paper and aluminum disposed of by fair goers.
