2013 Texas Road Rash Inline Skate – Cool Things To Do In Austin
Here’s something for the family, the 2013 Texas Road Rash Inline Skate! New category for 2013, you can bring your whole family and skate at your own pace when you enter the recreational skate category. You’ll enjoy the day, the course, watching the professional skaters, BBQ and lots of fun!
Skaters arrive early for warm up. There will be water, fruit and bagels on hand to energize you before the race. After the race, you can visit the booths and cheer on the other racers. You can also sit on the picnic benches under the trees and enjoy some BBQ and Beer.
The course will be swept the morning of the race to remove all gravel and anything loose. The course starts and finishes in Old Settlers Park and will be maintained throughout the race by city staff and police for safety.
The Texas Road Rash Inline Skate Marathon began in 2004 with 110 participants and has grown yearly with more events and more prizes for the winners.
