Eeyores Birthday Party 2014 Austin

It’s almost that time! Eeyores Birthday Party will once again, benefit non-profits in Austin. The date is April 26th so the weather has a great chance to be spectacular!

There will be a costume contest so be sure to wear a costume.

The fun and activities include..
Hot and cold food, soft drinks, juice, spring water and Texas beer sold by non-profits.
Live non-amplified music.
Maypoles for dancing by the young and young at heart.
Face painting and temporary tattoos by artists.
Games with prizes.
Commemorative Eeyore Birthday Party T-Shirts.
Surprise Guests.

Other Important Information– There will be no bottles, cans or coolers allowed and your dog must be on a leash. You’ll need your ID to purchase alcoholic beverages, and they won’t allow tents. And the City of Austin wants you to know that there is a smoking ban in effect for all city parks.

You won’t be able to park at Pease District Park but they have made arrangements as follows…

“Parking is FREE at the state parking garage “E” and lot 3 on Colorado between 16th and 17th streets where our shuttle buses will pick you up and return you all day long!!!

“Handicapped parking is also available at the same location, we have special needs buses chartered in our fleet for our shuttle service

“The Capital Metro bus 338 Lamar/45th route runs on Lamar and stops at Martin Luther King. It runs until 11pm. Capital Metro has informed me that they will be adding extra buses specifically for our event this year!

“The Shoal Creek Hike and Bike Trail is a wonderful way to get to and from Pease District Park.”

The Friends of the Forest generated enough money in previous years to make donations to the following local non-profit groups: Austin HARM Reduction, Austin Humane Society, Austin Pets Alive, Austin Yellow Bike Program, Austin Zoo, Be an Artist Program, Blackland Community Development Center, Blue Dog Rescue, Boy Scout Troop 6, Boy Scout Troop 410, Cancer Connection, Capital Area Food Bank, Diverse Arts, Girl Scout Troop 2178, Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), Hospice Austin, KOOP Radio, Lone Star Paralysis Foundation, Mother’s Milk Bank, Newspapers in Education, Pease Park Conservancy, SIMS Foundation, Sustainable food Center, Texas River School – Chatauqua Foundation, Wildlife Rescue, Wonders and Worries and the Workers Defense Project.
