Louisiana Swamp Thing and Crawfish Festival 2013 – Cool Things To Do In Austin
Looks like lots of fun doin’s at the Louisianan Swamp Thing and Crawfish Festival 2013! This will be their 19th running and the festivities include great food, music, dancing, shopping, bounce house and crawfish peel-and-eat competition.
This year they are preparing 7,000 pounds of crawfish to give out FREE with purchase of admission! There will also be the best in Louisiana cuisine to purchase; including, but not limited to, Cajun seafood, etouffee, red beans and rice, jambalaya, boudain and gumbo…

Boiled crawfish with potatoes and corn plus…., Catfish, Bayou chicken, Fried oysters, Shrimp boats, Po’ boys, Crawfish tails, Fried alligator, Frog legs, Mock squirrel pie, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Etouffee, Rabbit, Red beans & rice, Roasted corn, Shrimp on a stick, Cajun turkey legs, Mardi Gras king cakes, Cajun taters, Fried mushrooms, Hushpuppies, Boudin, Cajun fried bacon, Hot links, Cheese steaks, Boiled shrimp, Corn dogs, Cajun pork, Pizza, Beignets, Cotton candy, Shaved ice, Cinnamon roasted nuts, Nawlins nachos, Hotdogs, Hamburgers, BBQ brisket tacos, Funnel cakes, “Gator” ade, Smoothies, Cold beer, root beer, creme soda & sarsparilla, Lemonade, limeade and iced tea.”
Shoppers will be happy to find a wide variety of arts, jewelry, clothing, candles, crafts, and other stuff to look through and take home.
8 bands will be playing non-stop all day and include several styles to please everybody; Cajun, Zydeco, Funk, Blues, Rock, & Jazz plus dance & burlesque (No Nudity).
Kids will enjoy the Bounce House, Monster Water Balls and a free playscape!

Admission is $20 for adults and includes free plate of crawfish
Kids age 8 and under are free with an adult
