So Long Summer – A Labor Day Weekend Full Of Concerts – This Labor Day weekend the Long Center for the Performing Arts Austin, Texas presents So Long Summer, a full schedule of electric concerts in Dell Hall. Visitors can expect an added twist “both the artists AND the audience will get to rock out together on stage!”
For your ‘rocking out’ pleasure they are offering the following awesome line-up:
Friday August 30th
8pm – Union Specific, Rock and Roll Americana
Union Specific has played over 200 shows this year, touring across the country with singers and guitar players Gregg Maher and Tyler Wallace and bass player Kim Taruc.
9pm – The Gourds, old mad joy
This quirky Austin band has been together for 17 years and created multiple albums, played all across this country and others.
Saturday August 31st
8pm – T Bird and the Breaks
This old school, hip hop band consists of Tim Crane on vocals and piano, Sammy Patlove on drums, Cody Furr on bass and Johnny Allison and Sasha Ortiz on guitar and vocals.
9pm – The Relatives
Formed in 1970 by Dallas Gospel singer Rev. Gean West and brother Tommie, the sound combines gospel, soul and psychedelia.
Sunday September 1st
8pm – El Vez
For nearly 20 years the self proclaimed “Mexican Elvis” has been part of the L.A. music scene. His shows feature his band, the Spiders and the lovely El Vettes.
Tickets – Tickets are $20 per night.
