The Art City Austin Festival 2013, now in it’s 62nd, year is expecting more than 25,000 art enthusiasts from our area and all over the nation! The Art City Austin features local food, kids activities, music, and artist’s offerings from around the country.

Join in the fun as beautiful downtown Austin and the 2nd Street Retail and Shopping District open their doors for Austin’s oldest art festival. Come enjoy the April weather, be inspired by the art and music, bring the family, collect some art or just enjoy!

“Art Alliance announces an exciting and diverse lineup of musical performances on tap for Art City Austin 2013. From the positive hip-hop of Riders Against the Storm and the infectious world rhythms of Hard Proof Afrobeat to the exuberant rock gospel of Little Lo and the nascent Texas folk of The Lost and Nameless Orchestra, this lineup perfectly represents the diversity and quality of the Austin and Texas music scenes. The Suffers are coming from Houston to throw down their powerful brand of soul to close the stage on Friday. From Austin, Kalu James, The Sour Notes, Mike and the Moonpies, Mau Mau Chaplains, and The Urban Achievers Brass Band cover the spectrum from reggae to New Orleans Jazz to honky-tonk country.”

Festival presenters, Art City Alliance Austin, will be awarding cash for Best in Show for 2-D, 3-D and Best in Media. Proceeds from the event provide funding for artists and community programs.

Art City Austin Festival is a two day event, Saturday April 13 and Sunday April 14th, 2013. Saturday, 10am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 6pm.

Admission, at the gate – $8 for adults and children 12 and under free
