Published on June 28th, 2013

Want to learn about plants that love our central Texas climate? Want to purchase hardy plants that are easy to care for and will thrive in your yard? Want to get answers to your plant questions from someone who knows? Then you’d better bring yourself to the Fall Plant Sale and Gardening Festival 2013 at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center!

The sale starts October 4th for member only and for the public on October 5th and 6th! They suggest you bring your wagon to haul home your favorites, they can hold your purchases, but only until the end of the sale.  Bring your refillable water bottle too, they will fill it up for you with their free, cold filtered water.

You’ll be able to choose from nearly 300 species of hardy Texas native plants. They will have plants in 6 packs up to 15 gallons available for purchase.  And volunteers from the Austin and Williamson County chapters of the Native Plant Society of Texas will be there to answer your questions.  They will also be having a fundraiser offering native plants for sale. The Native Plant Society of Texas is a non-profit organization promoting research, conservation and the use of native plants on our area and Texas.
