Here’s something really sweet! It’s the 10th Annual Sugar Art Show And Cake Competition Austin 2014! Here’s what you can expect at the show and competition; fabulous edible works of art on display, full cake competition, live demos, on-site competitions, a kid’s decorating area, vendors, raffles, awards ceremony and classes.

There will be several mini and celebrity classes to attend to learn a variety of fun and useful techniques such as All About Icing, Fabulous Faux Cake Stand, Swimming Sea Turtle, Molding with Wafer Paper, WOW! General Admission Tickets
Early Birds purchase online by February 16th – $10 daily or $17 for a weekend pass.
At the door – $12 per day or $20 for a weekend pass.
Classes require separate additional fees and registration.
Children under 12 get in free.

“That Takes the Cake!” Sugar Art Show and Cake Competition is hosted by Capital Confectioner’s Cake Club and a portion of the proceeds is used for scholarships for local culinary students.

Capital Confectioners, a greater Austin Cake Club and Non-Profit organization, was formed to provide people who are interested in sugar arts the opportunity to share and network with others who have similar interests. Club members have all different skill levels from home hobby decorators to experienced pastry chefs. Our members willingly share their expertise and those who participate benefit from that collaboration. Anyone with an interest in sugar arts is invited to join our group.”
